When the Modesto Symphony Orchestra gave its first concert in 1931, Modesto had a population of 17,000 and was the smallest town in the United States to have a symphony orchestra. The Modesto Symphony has enjoyed a strong bond with the community and is fortunate to have experienced 81 years of continuous growth and support.

Mary Stuart Rogers Theater & Foster Family Theater - The mission of the Gallo Center for the Arts is to enrich the quality of life in the Central Valley by providing an inspirational civic gathering place where regional, national and international cultural activities illuminate, educate and entertain.
Visitor tours are self guided. Docents are stationed at various locations in the museum and can provide valuable information and directions to insure that each visitor has a quality visit to the museum. Thanks to countless hours donated by the trained docents, many tours of the museum are held each year.
Sunshine Rafting Adventures
Sunshine Rafting Adventures has been running river rafting trips on the Stanislaus River out of Knights Ferry for over 30 years. The scenic section of the Stanislaus River from Knights Ferry to Orange Blossom is popular with both experienced and inexperienced paddlers
